Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is old time favorite from my childhood and my daughter's favorite. Recipe given to me by my mother, in her own handwritting. Juanita Goodwin Kite, was born and raised in Tennessee. After leaving school, she worked at American Bemberg Corp., making parachutes for the war effort. She met and married my father, George Preston Kite Sr. when he returned from serving in the US Navy during World War II. The black walnuts make this recipe special.
