1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 (3 oz.) package of cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except flour and beat until smooth. Add flour slowly while stirring. Chill dough for at least 8 hours. Preheat oven to 375º. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough 1/3 at a time to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. Place cookies 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool cookies before frosting. Yields: about 70 cookies. ENJOY!

Note: Before baking you can brush cookies with beaten egg white and sprinkle with candy sprinkles, if desired.
