4 tbsp slivered or ground almonds*
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp coriander seeds
3 tbsp black peppercorns
1 tbsp fennel seeds
4 tbsp chopped pistachios or almonds
1 tsp salt
Extra virgin olive oil and French bread for serving

Note* hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, or other seeds/nuts may be substituted

Combine slivered or ground almonds, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, peppercorns and fennel seeds in a small frying pan and stir over low heat until lightly toasted and fragrant (about 3-4 minutes). Cool completely.Stir in pistachios/almonds and salt.

Grind in a food processor or blender until coarsely ground (don’t over process).

Best left overnight before serving. May be refrigerated for up to 10 days or frozen for a month or so.

Serve cubes of bread to be dipped in olive oil, then in Dukkah.
