12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls
Vegetable Oil for Frying
Desired Toppings: Powdered Sugar, Jam, Honey, Butter, Fruit Toppings, Cinnamon & Sugar, Chocolate syrup, etc

Directions:
Directions:
Place rolls 1-1/2 inches apart on a cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Cover with plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray (Pam). Let rise until double in size. Stretch each roll into 5-inch circle before frying. Fry in oil at 375º
until light brown. Sprinkle with powder sugar, or butter and serve with jam or honey, etc.

I use the electric skillet to make these. It works well. Just be careful of the hot & splattering oil. These are also known as: Indian Fry Bread, Scones (especially in Utah) and Sopapillas.
I saw at the Puyallup Fair they just thaw the rolls in the plastic bag overnight at room temp and then take them out and stretch them thin before deep frying.
