6 hard boiled eggs
2 c. chicken broth
1 cup rice
3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
1 3/4 c. milk
1 c. sharp cheese, shredded
ham, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare deviled eggs by your usual method.
Bring chicken broth to a boil, add rice and cook til done. Meanwhile prepare cheese sauce. In a saucepan melt butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once, cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes more. Stir in the cheese and heat until melted. Set aside.
Mix cheese sauce with rice, (add chopped ham in desired). Put into a 2 1/2 quart casserole; top with deviled eggs, cut side up. Cover and heat in a 350ºF oven for 30 minutes or until heated through.
