4 qts. unpeeled cucumber slices
7 1/3 c. vinegar
3 T. salt
1 T. mustard seeds
6 c. sugar
2 1/4 t. celery seeds
1 T whole allspice

Directions:
Directions:
In covered kettle, simmer cucumber slices in 4 c. vinegar with salt, mustard seeds and 1/4 c. sugar for about 15 minutes or until slices turn slightly yellow. Do not overcook. Drain; discard cooking liquid. Spoon slices into hot, sterilized jars.
Bring to a boil: 3 1/3 c. vinegar, 5 3/4 c. sugar, celery seeds and allspice. Pour over pickles. Seal at once.

This was one of my mother's recipes (Grandma Cherry). They are very good and easy to make. Great with sandwiches.

.A special picture of 4 generations: Grandma Cherry, me, Clint, Jodie, Chelsey, Courtney, Caitlyn and Clint Jr.. This was taken shortly before Grandma passed away from cancer. The kids all loved Grandma even though she was never much of a grandmother to them. Our kids would do anything for her though, because that's the kind of hearts they have.
