"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
◾1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
◾1 egg
◾Up to 1 cup Sugar/Substitute
◾1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
◾1 tsp baking soda (optional- some recipes do not call for it)
◾1/2 cups chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, egg, sugar, baking soda and vanilla. Mix vigorously with a wooden spoon until the ingredients are well-combined.
3.Add choc chip is wanted.
4.Use clean hands to form small, 1-inch balls of dough. Place the balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press the balls down with a fork to flatten them and create those classic peanut butter cookie lines.
5.Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the bottoms are just beginning to turn golden brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool on the pan for at least ten minutes – they will be too soft to eat directly from the oven.
