4 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
3 sticks butter
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
Apples, peeled, cored and sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Put the dry ingredients in a bowl, work in butter, mix like pie dough. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix together and knead a little if too stiff and add very little milk.

Divide dough in half. Cover the bottom of pan with the first half of dough and pat or smooth as even as possible. Spread pared apples. Cut into four wedges evenly. Sprinkle with 4 tbsp flour, 1 c sugar and a little cinnamon.

Reserve a little for the top of the cake. The last half of dough, put between 2 layers of wax paper gently and cover the cake and discard the other piece of wax paper. Brush with a little milk and sprinkle with flour, sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
