Bread:
1 c sour cream
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
1 c nuts ( walnuts or pecans) coarsely chopped

Praline Sauce:
1/4 c butter
1/4 c brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Using an electric mixer, beat together sour cream, sugar, eggs and vanilla on low speed for a couple minutes. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt . Beat on low until combined.

Fold in apples and half the nuts into the batter and pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.

Sprinkle the rest of the nuts on top and press lightly into the batter. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 60 minutes. Cool in the pan for 20 minutes and transfer to a wire rack. Top with the praline sauce.

Praline Sauce:
In a small sauce pan, place brown sugar and butter. Over medium heat, bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens. Drizzle over the loaf. Cool completely before slicing.
