2 c. Shortening
1 c. Powdered Sugar
1/2 c. Egg Whites
1 c. Sugar
2 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. In a double boiler, beat egg whites and sugar over boiling water with an electric mixer, until they form stiff peaks and are well cooked. Add half of the eggs to the shortening mixture and beat 4 minutes. Add remaining eggs and beat until fluffy and peaks hold. Add vanilla and mix well. Frost cake when cooled.
