6 c. fresh strawberries, medium sized
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
1 9" pie shell, baked

Directions:
Directions:
Wash berries and remove hulls. Crush 1 cup of berries and cook with water for about 2 minutes, strain and keep juice. Blend sugar and cornstarch, stir in berry juice. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and clear. Add 5 drops of food coloring. Spread about 1/4 cup of glaze on the bottom of the pie shell, add 1/2 of the strawberries (stem side down). Spoon half of the glaze over berries, being careful to coat each one. Place remaining berries in shell, stem side down, and top with glaze, being careful to coat each berry. Chill 3 to 4 hours and top with whipped cream.
