2 C. Water
1 envelope of dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 envelope of dry Ranch salad dressing mix
1 envelope of dry Brown gravy mix
Salt and Pepper
1-2 Tbsp. Butter or Shortening
3 pound Beef Roast (I use Chuck Roast)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the water with the contents of all three envelopes of the dry ingredients. Mix until blended completely.
Season roast with salt and pepper. Melt butter or shortening in a skillet. Sear the roast on all sides in the skillet with the melted butter or shortening.
Place the beef in a crock pot. Pour the water mixture over the top of the roast.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
