5 c. flour

Directions:
For filling: Combine the raisins, butter and sugar in a saucepan. cover with 1/2" water and cook on low until most of the water is absorbed (raisins will be nice & plump). It may take a while, be careful not to burn. Add up to 2 tsp. cornstarch or flour for a nice smooth texture. Chill.

Cookies:
Mix egg and sugar. Alternate mixing in dry ingredients and milk until combined. Form a ball (add a little more milk if too dry). Roll out about 1/4" thick, cut into small circles for a top and bottom (can use a cup to cut with). Use a tsp. of raisin filling per cookie and crimp. Bake at 400º for about 10 minutes. Serve with LOVE...Mam Mam would be so proud!
