Spareribs
1 c brown sugar
3/4 c ketchup
1/4 c soya sauce
1/2 c rum - spiced or dark
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp mustard
3 tbsp. minced garlic

Mashed Potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up ribs and place in an oven proof pot or roaster. Bake @ 350º F for minimum 1 hour up to 3hours. Stir often and drain fat.
Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over ribs. Cover and continue to cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Uncover ribs for last 1/2 hour if you like them drier.
Remove with slotted spoon. Keep remaining sauce and serve over mashed potatoes.

Can also be cooked in the slow cooker for 6- 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
