1 large onion
1 rack spare ribs, cut in half
1 jar applesauce
1 bottle BBQ sauce
Water

Directions:
1. Slice onion and place on bottom of crockpot, adding 1/2 cup water.
2. Season rib halves with salt and pepper. Place half of ribs on onions and top with 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce, keeping as much on ribs as possible.
3. Stack second half of ribs on next and repeat with remaining 1/2 of BBQ sauce.
4.Carefully pour apple sauce around edges of stacked ribs (not on ribs)
5. Add water until just below level with top rack of ribs being careful not to wash away BBQ sauce from ribs.
6. Secure lid of crock pot tightly. Cook on low for 8 hours.
7. Remove ribs from crock pot. Ribs will be very tender. Top ribs with onions and serve.
