30 cucumbers (not too large)
6 onions
1 c. salt
1 t. mixed whole spices
1 t. mustard seed
1 t. celery seed (these spices can be tied in a little cloth if desired)
1 t. turmeric
2 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 pt. water

Directions:
Directions:
30 cucumbers (not too large), slice & let stand in cold water over nite. In morning add six onions sliced & cup of salt. Let stand an hour. Drain. Put in kettle with 1 teaspoon mixed whole spices, 1 teaspoon mustard seed, 1 teaspoon celery seed (these spices can be tied in a little cloth if desired), 1 teaspoon turmeric, two cups sugar, 1 qt. vinegar, 1 pt. water. Cook about 15 minutes and seal while hot.
