3 lbs Raisins
¼ lb. Lemon Peel
¼ lb. Citron Peel
½ lb. Blanched Almonds
½ lb. Candied Cherries
1 lb. Suet
1 lb. Brown Sugar
4 Cups Soft Bread Crumbs
4 Tbsp Flour
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Nutmeg
¼ tsp. Cloves
¼ tsp. allspice
1 tsp. Baking Soda
8 Eggs
½ Cup Grape Juice

Directions:
Directions:
Chop raisins (optional); cut peel into thin slices, sprinkle with flour. Remove membrane from suet; chop finely. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Add sugar, bread crumbs, suet and fruit. Mix well; add grape juice and well beaten eggs. Pour into 3 well greased molds; cover with two layers of wax paper. Steam 4 hours. If cooked in one amount steam 6 hours.
