2 Cups Raisins
1 Cup Water

Add water to raisins boil for 5 minutes, cool.

1 Cup Shortening
2 Cups White Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
4 Cups Sifted Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Salt
½ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg
¼ tsp Allspice

Directions:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla and cooled raisins. Add nuts. Sift together all the dry ingredients and add to the first mixture.

Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.

Bake @ 350º for 12 - 15 minutes
