4 eggs (at room temp)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 tsp lemon or vanilla extract
3 c flour
3 tsp baking powder

Glaze:
2 1/4 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
2 tbsp corn syrup
2 tbsp + 1 tsp. milk
1 tsp lemon or vanilla extract

Mix eggs and sugar together. Add oil and flavor extract. Mix flour and baking powder together. Add to egg mixture and mix well. Dough should be workable but not sticky. If dough is sticky, add more flour by scant 1/4 c measures. Take small pieces of dough and make thin rolls, about 4 inches long and 1/2 inch in diameter. Tie in knots. Place them on parchment­ lined cookie sheets about 1 inch apart. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes on top rack until very lightly brown. When cool, mix glaze ingredients well. Dip knots in glaze.

Preheat oven to 350º
