3 cans Mexican-style stewed tomatoes or 4 cups home canned tomatoes, mostly drained.
1 bunch cilantro
1 small bunch green onions, chopped
Jalapeņo, to taste (1-2 whole)
3-4 T. garlic, pressed (or blended)
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Put 1/4 of the tomatoes in a blender. Add cilantro, garlic, jalapeņo and salt. Blend until no chunks remain. Add the rest of the tomatoes and pulse until you have the consistency of salsa. Pour into a serving bowl and add onions. Serve with chips.

This is a great winter salsa! All you have to buy is the fresh cilantro and green onions -- the rest you can pull from your freezer and pantry! I love the taste of home canned tomatoes, but the store bought work well too. Play around with the amount of jalapeņos. I just freeze them with the tops cut off and then just add them frozen and the blender does all the work.
