SOUR DOUGH START:
1 c. flour
1 c. water
1/2 pkg. yeast

SOUR DOUGH BISCUITS:
1/2 c. starter dough
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

SOUR DOUGH START:
Let stand in warm place 3 days at 75º to 80º covered. In summer it doesn't take this long.

SOUR DOUGH BISCUITS:
Mix starter dough, milk and flour. Let stand until time you want to use it (allow about an hour raising time). Combine the sugar, salt, and baking soda together. Then sprinkle that mixture over the sponge (dough). Mix well and turn out on floured board. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Cut with cutter and place on greased pan. Bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
