1 to 2 pkg. onion soup mix
1 onion (optional)

Brown the elk roast in a small pressure cooker on all sides, seasoning as you go with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir the onion soup mix in a cup of hot water, then pour over roast. Cut up the onion and put on top of meat. Make sure you have at least 1 to 2 cups of liquid in your cooker. Put the lid on the cooker and turn up the heat. When the steam is coming out pretty good, put the rocker on. When the rocker starts to rock start turning down the heat and so you have a slow rock. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes.
