2/3 cup Kirsch© or other cherry or apple brandy
1 cup unsweetened cherry or cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup icing sugar, or to taste
2 cups fresh pitted sweet cherries
Ice
6 cups dry cider
Mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the cherry brandy and juices into medium bowl. Whisk in the icing sugar until dissolved. Taste and add more sugar if needed. Add the cherries, cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, or overnight.
When ready to serve, stir the cider into the cherry mixture. Fill a pitcher or two, depending on size, half full of ice. Ladle in the cherry-cider mixture and service. Garnish with mint sprig if desired.
