1/3 c. flour
2 c. milk

This recipe is also good with other things added into the gravy, like peas, carrots, or hamburger. This tastes very good over Idaho mashed potatoes.

Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour until it is slightly thickened to a paste. Brown this a little, stirring constantly. Add the milk until desired thickness is achieved. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly as gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
