1 loaf thin sliced white bread (this can be hard to find sometimes)
1/2 lb shredded cheddar cheese
6 slice bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 (4 ounce) package slivered almonds
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 cup of mayonnaise

Directions:

1 Remove crusts from bread.


2 In a bowl, combine all other ingredients.


3 Spread each slice of bread with mixture. Cut into strips or any other desired shape.


4 Place on a baking sheet and freeze until firm. Place in plastic bags and store in the freezer.


5 To serve, bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

These make-ahead appetizer are delicious. Just make ahead, freeze and then bake when you're ready. Great for the holidays! My friends request that I make these every year to bring to their parties. These aren't good for you - but well worth the calories!
