1 1/4 cup flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup buter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 pkg. (8oz.) vanilla instant pudding
2 eggs
3 1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, both sugars and pudding mix in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. Beatr in eggs. Gradually add in flour mixture, stir in oats and raisins. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10-12 min. Makes 5 dozen.

** Chocolate cookies
1 pkg. (12oz.) chocolate chips instead of oats
1 cup chopped nuts instead of raisins
Bake for 8-10 min. Makes 7 dozen
