1lb. Italian sausages ( use spicy to get the right flavor)
4-6 russet potatoes, peeled
1/4 c. REAL bacon pieces (optional)
2 T. minced garlic ( about 3-4 cloves, or more)
32 oz. chicken broth
1 c. kale or Swiss chard, chopped
1c. heavy whipping cream ( substitute with almond milk)
2 T. flour ( substitute with gluten-free)

EXTras, if desired: salt, pepper, cayenne pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown the sausage links in a pan. Then cut them in little bite- size pieces.
2. Place the sausage, chicken broth, garlic, potatoes, and onion in a slow cooker. Add enough water to cover the veggies and meat.
3. Cook on high 3-4 hours ( or low for 5-6) until the potatoes are soft.
4. 30 minutes before serving:
Mix the flour into the cream, stirring to get rid of the lumps.
Cook on high or until it thickens a little.

Serve with an Italian/ French loaf. It's always nice to have the meal DONE when you walk in the door after a busy day.
