Ingredients:  
1 c. shortening, part butter (about 3 T. butter)
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 T. vanilla flavoring
2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. soda
3 tsp. cream of tartar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. coconut
1 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chocolate chips (You can use regular or mini size chips.)

Mix all ingredients in the order listed. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350-375º for about 12 minutes.

The recipe for these delicious cookies came from Kay, who got it from Wanda, who got it from a young volunteer at Holden Village whose grandmother spent every summer as the cook at Luther Crest Bible Camp in Alexandria, MN where she kept the campers happy with these cookies.
