2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/3 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp. shortening
3/4 cup milk

topping:
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 cup shredder cheddar cheese

PREHEAT oven to 400ºF

MIX In medium size bowl all dry ingredients. Add butter and shortening, crumble into dry ingredients. Using a hand or stand mixer, add milk.

ROLL out on floured surface and using a round glass or cookie cutter, cut biscuits. Lay flat on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

IN small bowl, melt 1/4 cup butter. Stir in 1 Tsp. of garlic salt. Brush mixture over tops of the biscuits and top with grated cheddar cheese.

BAKE for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown
