Wickersham Egg Dumplings Recipe

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. oil
1 egg
1/4 c. + 2 T. milk
2 T. minced parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Blend in remainder of ingredients. Drop from a tablespoon onto meat stock (not liquid). Cook slowly 10 minutes with pot uncovered and 10 minutes with pot tightly covered. Remove dumplings and meat to a hot platter. Make gravy and pour part around dumplings.

Wickersham is the name of the place that Kay would call her childhood home. It is a very small hamlet situated just at the base of the Cascade Mountains...on the western side of the mountains. There Kay would learn the craft of raising chickens and of preparing Hungarian style dumplings. Unfortunately for the chickens, the one necessitates the other...as in which comes first, the chicken or the dumpling?
