Hershey Bar Pie Recipe

      Ingredients:  2 extra large egg whites dash of salt 1/4 t. cream of tartar 1 t. pure vanilla 6 T. sugar 1 pint whipping cream 1 t. pure vanilla 1/4 c. cold water 1 8oz. Hershey Almond bar Toasted almonds Curled chocolate

		Directions:		 | 
      Directions:Combine and beat first 3 ingredients until stiff. Add sugar gradually on  high speed. Add vanilla and beat well. Pour egg whites into well buttered 10" pie pans.  Form a shell just to the top of the pan as mixture expands over edges. Bake at 275º to 1 hour.  Cool on wire rack. Crust may be formed into 4-6 buttered muffin tins. Filling: Melt chocolate in small sauce pan.  Add cold water and vanilla gradually to chocolate.  Cool. Whip cream until stiff. Fold chocolate mixture into whipped cream carefully. Pour into pie shell. Freeze for several hours. Remove pie from freezer a few minutes before serving to be able to cut pie. May dip sharp knife in hot water, dry knife, then cut pie with hot knife. Garnish top with toasted almonds and curled chocolate.©  |
