Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c. raw peanuts
1 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. butter
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Place peanuts, sugar, syrup, and salt in large, microwaveable bowl. Cook on High power, 4 minutes. Stir and cook on High, 4 more minutes. Add vanilla and butter. Stir and cook 2 minutes on High. Carefully remove bowl and gently stir in soda. Mixture will foam up, but don't stir out bubbles. Immediately pour out onto prepared buttered cookie sheet until set. As candy begins to firm it can be stretched with forks or buttered fingers to make a thinner brittle. Cliff's Ganny was a master at this technique; we're still practicing!
