1 (11.5) oz. bag milk chocolate chips
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
fruit or cake pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chocolate bits and shortening. Melt in microwave (15 second bursts), or over simmering water. (Do not let water touch bottom of pan or splash into mix or your chocolate will seize). Stir until smooth. Keep pan of chocolate over hot water as you dip pieces of cake or fruit (strawberries, banana, apple, pineapple, kiwi, dried apricots, etc.); shake off excess. Place on sheets of wax or parchment paper to let chocolate harden. (I like foil lined pans best.) Chill 10 to 15 minutes to set chocolate. Dipped fruits keep at room temp for 1 to 2 hours.
