1 cup butter or margarine
1 8 oz pkg of softened cream cheese
2/3 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese, add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and mix well. Combine flour and salt, gradually add to cream cheese mixture, beating well after each addition. Add food coloring, if desired. Shape dough into ball-chill thoroughly.

Put through cookie press- place on ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with crystals, colored sugars, or sprinkles.

Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
