2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs unbeaten

2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, and salt. With electric mixer at medium speed cream/mix together shortening with 1 1/2 cups of sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. At low speed blend/beat in flour mixture until batter is dough like. Chill until easy to handle. Mix 2 tbsp. sugar and cinnamon. Form dough into walnut signed balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place 2 " apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees until done.

Makes about 5 dozen.
