1 lg onion thinly sliced
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
6 beef cubed steaks ( about 4 oz each)
1 tbsp. canola oil
3 cups water divided
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 envelope mushroom gravy mix
1 envelope onion gravy mix

Spray inside of a 3 to 5 qt. slow cooker with non stick cooking spray. place the thin sliced onion in slow cooker. Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper in a plastic bag. Add steaks a few at a time, shake until completely coated. Heat oil in a lg skillet over medium heat. Add steaks and cook until lightly browned on each side. Place browned steak n top of onions in slow cooker. Pour 2 cups of water over all. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hrs or until meat is tender. In a bowl whisk together the 3 gravy mixes and remaining cup of water. add to slow cooker let cook 30 minutes longer.
