I think this recipe came from our neighbors the Chernin's. I definitely remember Grandma making this for Christmas.

1 cup sugar
1/4 lb butter
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Topping
1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar together..
Add eggs, sour cream, baking soda, and vanilla, mixing until thoroughly combined.
Sift flour and baking powder. Combine with the egg mixture. Mix well.
Stir together topping ingredients.
In a greased spring form pan or angel food pan, pour in half of the batter, cover with half the topping. Repeat.
Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a cake tested comes out clean.
