Cookies:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
5 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. shortening
2 cups flour
1 cup water

Filling:
1/2 cup marshmallow creme
1/2 cup shortening
2 to 3 Tbsp. softened unsalted butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cookies:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix.
Drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheets by tablespoonsful. Bake at 425º for 7 minutes. Let cool. Spread one cookie with filling and then top with a second cookie.

Filling:
Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Spread between cookies
