3 to 4 lbs. spare ribs
2 lemons, sliced
1 large onion
1 c. Ketchup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes hot sauce
2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Place ribs in shallow pan. Place a slice of onion and lemon on each piece. Roast in very hot oven (450º) for 30 min. When done drain grease from pan. Combine remaining ingredients to make sauce. Pour over ribs, continue baking in moderate oven (350º) until tender (45 min. to 1 hour) basting every 15 min. If sauce gets to thick add a little water to thin it out.

This is the recipe Mom always used. She got it from a cookbook but it is known in our family as Mom's ribs or Mom's sauce. These are the only ribs and sauce that I like, nothing compares.Every time Mom made these ribs she would have sauce all over her and would always burn her arm somehow.
