Cream:
2 cups butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sugar
Add:
4 cups all-purpose flour
5 cups oatmeal (blended to a powder)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
Mix together all ingredients and add:
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 8 oz. Hershey bar (grated)
3 cups chopped nuts

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet: Make golf ball sized cookies. Space balls 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes (and no longer). When you take them out of the oven, let them sit on the sheet for a minute to cool or else they will crumble.

This is that old recipe that had the legend of someone asking for it at a department store. The person quoted 150, and it was actually $150 dollars. Who knows if that is true, but it is an interesting story!
