1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. sugar
1 c. dates
1/2 c. water
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar.
Add soda, flour and oatmeal. Mix well and divide into 2 halves.
Pat 1/2 of dough into greased pan 8" X 8".
Mix together dates, sugar, water and boil until paste is formed.
Layer this on top of dough and sprinkle rest of dough on top.
Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
