2 yeast cakes {2 Tbsp}
2 cups milk
1/2 cup shortening
4 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs
2 cups finely grated carrots
2 cups raisins
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Warm the milk, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Add shortening, sugar and salt, mix. Add beaten eggs, carrots and raisins then add flour and knead like regular bread. Put in greased loaf pan. Bake at 300º for 1 hour.

Original recipe calls for 9-10 cups flour the second recipe calls for 4 cups flour. You knead this like bread so you will have to use your own judgment how much flour is used.
