1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. dates, cut up
1 1/2 c. candied fruits
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. lard
1 c water
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ground cloves
1 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, lard and water for 6 minutes. Let cool and then add sifted dry ingredients. Add as much fruit as desired. Bake in moderate oven 1 hour in tube pan. Start at 300º. Towards end brown at 350º if necessary.
