1 lb spicy Italian sausage - crumbled
1 lb bacon - chopped
1 qt. water
2 (14.5 oz) cans chicken broth
2 large potatoes - scrubbed, cleaned, cubed
2 cloves garlic - peeled, crushed
1 med. onion peeled, chopped
2 c. chopped kale
1 c. heavy whipping cream
salt/pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a skillet, over medium-high heat, brown sausage, breaking into small pieces; drain it and set aside. Brown bacon in skillet; drain and set aside.
2. Place water, broth, potatoes, garlic, and onion in a pot; simmer over medium heat until potatoes are tender. Add sausage and bacon to pot and simmer for another 10 minutes.
3. Add kale and cream to pot; season with salt and pepper; heat through and serve.
