2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugars, and eggs. Stir in vanilla. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Add chocolate chips. Spread in greased 13x9x2 pan. Bake at 375º till done in middle - about 20 minutes.
