Personal Notes:
I have been dogged by an inability to get the dressing mix. First it was made by Good Seasons for years, then discontinued, then Giant picked it up for more than a decade, then they discontinued it. I remember, at that time, going to every Giant in N. Virginia to pick it up. I stuffed it in my kids' stockings that winter. Now I use Knorr dressing mix "Fransosiche Art" from Germany. Recently I found a recipe on a web site that purports to be the Magic Pan's original:
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
2 tablespoon(s) Sugar
2 tablespoon(s) Vinegar
1 tablespoon Parsley, fresh, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Dash Pepper
Dash Tabasco
In reality any vinaigrette works.
