1 1/2 cups self-rising cornmeal
1 egg
1/4 cup oil or bacon grease
1 can cream style corn
1 carton sour cream
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped onions and peppers
1/4 cup buttermilk (if batter is too thick)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Grease large iron skillet or muffin tins. Combine all ingredients. Bake muffins for about 20 min. or until tops start to brown. Bake in skillet for 30-40 min. or until center is done.
