2 pkg. (3 oz.) softened cream cheese
2 T cream or milk
4 cups confectioner's sugar
4 sq. (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. rum
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat cheese and cream until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar, then blend in chocolate. Stir in vanilla, run, salt.
Press into lightly greased 8 inch square pan. Mark in 64 one inch square pieces and chill until firm enough to cut; at least 15 minutes
Makes 1 lb. fudge

I don't remember where I got this recipe, but it goes back at least to the 1970s; I can tell by the recipe card it is written on!
