1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
pinch salt
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Grease and flour cookie sheets

1. Beat crisco and sugars until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in egg and peanut butter.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix until flour is well blended.
4. Roll into balls the size of a large marble.
5. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
6. Bake approx. 10 minutes until lightly browned.

I have substituted butter for the crisco. The texture changes, but the taste is still good. Try for yourself and compare.
