1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. flour
3 c. uncooked oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars, add beaten eggs and vanilla. Stir in sifted soda, salt and flour, then add oats. Form small balls and bake at 375º for 10 to 15 minutes. Nuts may be added to this recipe.

This is another of my Wedding Shower recipe cards believed to be from Margie Lillard. I'm not sure who "Jenny" is, although my Grandmother, Deborah Jane Burdette Price was called Jenny. Could this be one and the same?
